Dublin Singers music scholarship

The Dublin Singers, with a vision and desire to further the art of Music, have established an annual scholarship to be awarded to a music major from the greater Dublin area.

Who:  Recipient must be a declared music major who lives in the greater Dublin area and is a senior at one of the following high schools: Dublin Coffman, Dublin Jerome, Dublin Scioto, Hilliard Darby, Hilliard Davidson, Hilliard Bradley, Olentangy Liberty, Bishop Watterson, St. Charles or Columbus School For Girls.

What:  A $1,000.00 (One Thousand Dollar) scholarship offered annually

When:  The application deadline is March 31, 2015.
The winner will be announced at the Dublin Singers’ spring show,
May 1-3, 2015.

2015 – Jackie Burns, Hilliard Darby


President’s Cup Plaza Dedication Ceremony

The Dublin Singers were honored to participate in the President’s Cup Plaza dedication ceremony in Old Dublin on Thursday, September 12. We sang the National Anthem. If you watch the video on the plaza dedication page, we appear at the 1:37 mark, but only for two seconds, so watch carefully!

Cantus vocal ensemble concert, sponsored by Chamber Music Columbus

Chamber Music Columbus presents the Cantus Vocal Ensemble on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Southern Theatre, 39 East State Street, Columbus at 8 pm.

The Cantus Vocal Ensembe is “Acclaimed as ‘the premier men’s vocal ensemble in the United States’ (Fanfare), Cantus is committed to inspiring audiences with music performed at the highest level. The nine members of Cantus are renowned for adventurous programming spanning many periods and genres, including work commissioned specifically for the group.” They will be performing works by Pérotin, Tomás Luis de Victoria, Randall Thompson, Edvard Grieg, Franz Schubert, Gordon Lightfoot, Veljo Tormis, Timothy Takach, U2, Ysaye Barnwell, A.R. Rahman, Zoltán, Kodály, Pavel Cheshnkov, Steven Sametz, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. (Program subject to change)
